Virtual Zone Association and ICTA: A Path to Collaboration
On May 13, 2025, The Association of Georgian Virtual Zone Persons held a productive introductory meeting with the Information and Communication Technologies Association of Georgian (ICTA Georgia), a key organization representing Georgia’s IT sector, primarily uniting companies with international status (learn more aticta.ge). The event was organized with the support of our partners at Just Advisors.
Highlights of the Meeting
The meeting unfolded in an open and constructive atmosphere. Shorena Kopaleishvili, Chairperson of The Association of Georgian Virtual Zone Persons, presented the goals and achievements of our organization. Representing ICTA Georgia were:

Discussion of Challenges and Initiatives
The meeting focused on addressing pressing challenges within Georgia’s IT industry. Participants explored both internal issues faced by each association and shared obstacles, including banking regulations and related complexities, residency procedures for foreign investors, improving the tax environment, transfer pricing challenges, strengthening the global position of Georgian IT companies, and more.
A central theme was the development and enhancement of the IT business ecosystem. The role of Georgia as a regional player in this sector was also discussed. The Association of Georgian Virtual Zone Persons and ICTA Georgia agreed to launch joint initiatives to create more favorable conditions for industry growth. In the near future, a plan for collaborative activities will be developed, potentially including webinars, roundtables, and projects involving government bodies.
The meeting featured active participation from Giorgi Zhuzhunashvili of Just Advisors, who shared practical case studies on the status acquisition process, ongoing tax audits, and existing challenges. This direct engagement with legal experts proved especially valuable for both associations, fostering a deeper understanding of the key issues.
The founder and CEO, Anna Davidson, provided participants with detailed information about Just Advisors’ services and expressed readiness to collaborate with interested companies and association members.
