Association Representative Attended Women in Tech 2026
From May 12 to 15, Mariam Modebadze, representative of the Association of Georgian Virtual Zone Persons, attended the Women in Tech Global Conference 2026 — the annual international summit organized by WomenTech Network, bringing together technology leaders, founders, investors, and professionals from around the world.
The conference programme was structured around different themes each day — including leadership, artificial intelligence, career development, and international business growth.
May 12 focused on leadership and company culture, including discussions on resilient organizations, change management, and inclusive leadership approaches that contribute to long-term business development.
May 13 was dedicated to AI and emerging technologies. Discussions covered the practical implementation of artificial intelligence in business operations, automation, generative AI, and the responsibilities companies face when adopting AI technologies.
May 14 centred on professional growth and career development, including career transitions, mentorship, salary negotiations, leadership visibility, and personal branding in the digital environment.
May 15 focused on entrepreneurship and scaling technology businesses internationally. Sessions covered startup ecosystems, fundraising, international expansion, team management, and operational growth in global markets.
For Virtual Zone companies, the final day was particularly relevant. Companies operating under the Virtual Zone regime are naturally export-oriented and internationally focused. Discussions addressed practical issues related to entering foreign markets, adapting products for different jurisdictions, managing international teams, attracting investment, and navigating regulatory requirements in different countries.
Artificial intelligence was also discussed not as a theoretical concept, but as a technology already being integrated into real business operations. These are practical issues many Virtual Zone companies already encounter while expanding internationally.
WomenTech Network is one of the largest global platforms supporting equal access to professional opportunities, knowledge, and networking within the technology sector. The Association shares the view that sustainable development of the technology industry requires broad professional participation, international collaboration, and access to global expertise.
The Association remains open to participation in international conferences, webinars, and professional initiatives, because such platforms are where professional dialogue happens, partnerships are built, and practical experience is shared across the sector.
Following the conference, Mariam Modebadze shared:
“Participating in the Women in Tech Global Conference 2026 provided a valuable opportunity to engage with global discussions on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, leadership, and the future of international technology ecosystems. The conference created an important platform for exchanging knowledge, exploring emerging trends, and understanding the practical challenges technology companies face in rapidly evolving global markets.”
