The meeting took place in a closed format, with the participation of various business representatives, including the Association of Georgian Virtual Zone Persons.
The importance of the Association’s participation in high-level meetings
The invitation and involvement of the Association of Georgian Virtual Zone Persons in such a large-scale meeting represents a significant step in the positioning of the Association and, more broadly, virtual zone companies. Participation in the meeting once again reaffirms the Association’s reputation as a reliable and well-informed partner, capable of contributing to the realization of the country’s European aspirations.
Multisectoral dialogue with representatives of the European Union
The meeting discussed Georgia’s progress in the process of rapprochement with the European Union, focusing on both political and economic criteria compliance and evaluation. The issue of harmonizing Georgia’s business regulations with the EU was reviewed, including the importance of developing the IT and FinTech sectors. Special attention was given to the legislative framework, where existing regulations and the effectiveness of law enforcement mechanisms were discussed. The meeting emphasized the importance of the practical application of the law and the smooth functioning of regulations.
The meeting is particularly important in that it involved both European Union representatives and leaders from various sectors of the private sector. This format of dialogue highlights the role of the private sector as a partner in the country’s European integration process.
Special attention to the IT and FinTech industries
The discussion paid special attention to strategically important and rapidly developing sectors such as information technology and financial technologies. It was noted that these industries are of high interest to the European Union, and the harmonization of their regulation and development with EU standards is one of the key factors for the country’s successful integration.
The European Union expresses its readiness to deepen cooperation
Within the framework of the meeting, representatives of the European Union Delegation confirmed that the EU is ready to deepen cooperation with Georgia’s private sector, including associations representing technological and innovative industries. This stance further reaffirms that the involvement and feedback of the private sector are integral parts of the policy focused on European integration.
The Association of Georgian Virtual Zone Persons will continue to actively participate in such dialogues, representing the interests of its members and promoting the development of innovative sectors in the context of European integration.
