The Association Meets with the EU Ambassador as a Member of EECP
On October 28, 2022, members of the European Economic Cooperation Platform (EECP) met with the Ambassador of the European Union, Pawel Herczynski, and the Head of the European Investment Bank Regional Representation, Maciej Czura, at the European Union Delegation to Georgia to strengthen collaboration and exchange views.
EECP promotes an open and inclusive European economic cooperation platform to be more actively involved in strengthening business relations between the European Union and Georgia, particularly regarding eliminating obstacles to business.
Since the Association of Georgian Virtual Zone Persons is a member of the EECP platform, the chairman of the Association, Shorena Kopaleishvili, was invited to the first EECP event, where the members had an exclusive dialogue on business needs and challenges and agreed to intensify collaboration and cooperation further. The Association continues to lobby for the interests of its members, and at the meeting, the Association once again actualized the issues of the VZP companies with its European partners. The chairman of the Association introduced objectives and problems to the ambassador. He expressed his desire to serve as a mediator between businesses and the government and expressed his curiosity about who and how businesses operate as well as the challenges they encounter.
The meeting was organized within the framework of the project “Promoting European Business and Economic Interests in Georgia,” supported by the European Union.
